Fingernails should be short and clean; manicured if possible.
Avoid three-piece suits.
Avoid loud colors.
Jewelry should be kept to a minimum.
Don’t wear jewelry or pins that indicate membership in religious or service organizations.
Use deodorant; avoid colognes or fragrances completely.
Maintain good eye contact.
Do not take portable phones or beepers into an interview!

Men
Hair should be well groomed and neatly trimmed.
A freshly pressed suit in navy blue or dark gray with a white shirt is appropriate.
Wear a conservative tie, (avoid loud colors or busy designs).
Black shoes with over the calf black socks are appropriate.

Women
Avoid exotic hairstyles and excessive make-up; nail polish should be subtle.
A navy suit or tailored dress in navy or gray is appropriate.
Avoid big bows or ties as well as open toed shoes.
