OM5 / DayStar Temp-to-Hire
Your company may want the option of using the capability of a professional
recruiter to find talent, but your company’s circumstances indicate the
preference for hiring the person on a “trial basis”. This method of
candidate selection is unique in that it combines the OM5 method of search and
evaluation with the DayStar Temporary Services’ employer-of-record capability.
OM5 engages in the same consultation process and search methods that we use for
a direct hire. We then present the best candidates for you to make a decision as
to who you want assigned to your position, with the hope that the
employee will prove successful and capable in the role. If so, then you have the option to transition the employee to a full-time, regular position after
the trial period.
During this time, the person is on our payroll as a DayStar employee. We assume
all administrative functions of the payroll process (timecards/paychecks,
workers’ compensation, unemployment, payroll taxes, administrative costs). Your
company pays a weekly invoice for the services of your selected DayStar
employee. During this time, your company benefits from deferring costs of
benefits, vacations, holiday pay and other employment costs until you are
confident you have selected the right person for the job.
